Polly Eldridge acts as general counsel for the Forterro Group and is a member of the Forterro Executive Board. In her role, Eldridge is responsible for all legal, regulatory and compliance advice at the executive level, as well as within each of Forterro’s business units throughout Europe. Eldridge manages a team of internal legal counsels and engages with Forterro’s local leadership teams to support the development and management of strategic, tactical, commercial, and operational matters from a legal perspective.

Eldridge joined the business in 2020, after a long career as regional divisional counsel at Hexagon PPM, a division of Hexagon AB. Prior to her appointment in Forterro, Eldridge served in a number of regional and strategic roles throughout Hexagon PPM, including regional divisional counsel, cloud contracting strategy, project manager for global data protection, and regional deal lead for M&A.

Engaging at the board level and serving in directorships at a number of companies within Hexagon PPM, Eldridge brings more than 16 years of legal and compliance experience to the Forterro Group, having developed a broad range of legal expertise through working during the earlier stage of her career in private practice as a corporate and M&A lawyer, and subsequently serving in senior roles at a number of companies, including Iress and, more recently, Hexagon AB.

Since joining Forterro in 2020, Eldridge has played a key role in driving global recurring revenue growth via strengthened contractual terms. She has also implemented global compliance initiatives, whilst working closely with Forterro’s business units to reduce legal, commercial, operational, and technical risk. Further, Eldridge has helped drive the completion of a number of new acquisitions and continues to support Forterro’s aggressive M&A strategy in her role.

Eldridge received her bachelor’s degree in international business studies with Spanish from the University of Northumbria in Newcastle upon Tyne. She subsequently completed a postgraduate diploma in law and a legal practice course at the University of Law (formerly the College of Law), before going on to complete her training contract. Eldridge is also a certified information privacy professional (CIPP/E).
