When you are considering MyForterro.ai, the most important thing is confidence, knowing what you are adopting, how it works with the ERP you already use, how your data is protected, and how your people stay in control.
These are the ten questions we hear most often, with clear answers to help you decide what is right for your business.
1. What exactly will MyForterro.ai do for my business?
MyForterro.ai brings AI-powered assistance into the Forterro ecosystem your teams already use every day.
Depending on the capabilities available for your ERP, it can help users ask questions, retrieve information, draft content, work with business data more naturally and complete routine activities more efficiently.
Instead of requiring users to switch between systems, MyForterro.ai helps bring information, recommendations and decision support closer to the workflows where work already happens.
Today, Forterro customers are already using and evaluating AI-assisted capabilities such as:
- Creating quote drafts from customer requests
- Reviewing pricing and margin recommendations
- Retrieving ERP information using natural language
- Accessing inventory and availability information more quickly
- Preparing for customer meetings using ERP and CRM context
- Finding information and navigating ERP systems more easily
In summary
MyForterro.ai is not another dashboard or standalone AI tool. It is an AI-powered layer within the MyForterro ecosystem that helps users detect, interpret, recommend and prepare next actions earlier—while remaining connected to the systems, workflows and governance already in place.
2. Which AI capabilities are most relevant for my business?
You do not need to be an AI expert to get started.
Rather than selecting from a technical catalogue, we begin with the business outcomes you want to improve and then recommend the capabilities most relevant to your ERP environment.
For example, customers often start by looking to:
- Create quotes more quickly
- Improve pricing and margin decisions
- Access ERP information more easily
- Reduce manual processing
- Increase inventory and operational visibility
- Help employees find answers faster
Further context
Based on your priorities, we can recommend capabilities that may be relevant to your business and explain the information currently available about their purpose, availability and intended use.
An AI capability is a specific business function delivered through MyForterro.ai, such as quote creation, inventory intelligence or ERP navigation. Different ERP products support different capabilities depending on availability and maturity.
3. Can I see it working before I decide?
Yes, and we strongly encourage it.
Customers consistently tell us that seeing a real use case is the fastest way to understand both the value of MyForterro.ai and how it would fit into their day-to-day operations.
Rather than asking you to evaluate technical descriptions, we can demonstrate relevant capabilities using realistic business scenarios and explain:
- What problem the capability is designed to solve
- What information it uses
- What decisions remain under human control
- What business outcome it is intended to support
Availability
We will also clearly explain what is available today for your ERP product, what is currently being piloted, and what remains on the roadmap.
The demonstrations we provide are tailored to your ERP product and the capabilities currently available or being evaluated for that environment.
Many customers find that once they see a capability working in practice, it becomes much easier to decide whether it is relevant for their business.
4. How mature are the capabilities available today?
Capability maturity varies by ERP product and use case.
Some capabilities are already being used and evaluated by Forterro customers today, while others remain part of the By Invitation Programme or are progressing through earlier validation and rollout stages.
Rather than presenting all capabilities as equally mature, we will clearly explain:
- What is available today
- What is currently being piloted
- What customer experience has been gained so far
- What is still evolving
Transparency
We believe it is important to distinguish between what AI technology can theoretically do and what MyForterro.ai currently delivers as a supported capability.
Our commitment is to be transparent about maturity, availability and readiness so you can make informed decisions.
5. What exactly gets installed or connected to my environment?
The exact deployment approach depends on your ERP product and the capabilities you choose to activate.
Before anything is deployed, we will explain:
- What components are involved
- How they connect to your ERP environment
- What operational impact to expect
- Any prerequisites for activation
Integrated experience
Depending on the capability, users may see new AI-enabled screens, workflows or experiences within the ERP. These are designed to be integrated into the product rather than requiring a separate AI application.
MyForterro.ai uses your existing MyForterro identity and access controls, so users continue to work with the permissions and security model already established in your ERP environment.
No surprises.
Your IT and business teams should understand what is being deployed, how it operates, and what changes - if any- are required before activation takes place.
6. It connects to my live system - how do I stay in control?
Because MyForterro.ai is designed to help users work with real business information, it needs access to the same ERP data and workflows your authorised users already work with every day.
However, access does not mean unrestricted access.
A core design principle of MyForterro.ai is that it operates with the same permissions already granted to the authenticated user.
This means:
- If a user cannot access a module, the AI cannot access it either
- If a user cannot view specific data, the AI cannot retrieve it
- If a user has read-only rights, the AI cannot make changes
- The AI cannot raise privileges
- The AI cannot act as another user
Security badge
Different users may receive different answers because MyForterro.ai respects the permissions associated with each user's role.
You can think of the AI as operating with the same security badge as the user who is interacting with it.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
7. What if a recommendation isn't right for us - is a person always involved?
You remain in control.
MyForterro.ai is designed to support decision-making, not replace it.
Today, important business actions and externally committed outputs remain subject to human review and approval. The AI can help identify information, generate recommendations and prepare actions, but people remain responsible for making decisions and approving outcomes.
As a customer, you should expect:
- Human review of important outputs
- Clear ownership and accountability
- Recommendations that can be reviewed and challenged
- The ability to override or reject AI-generated suggestions
- AI actions that remain bounded by the user's existing permissions
Put simply
The AI can assist. Your people decide.
8. How is my data protected, and does the AI train on it?
Protecting customer data is one of Forterro's highest priorities.
MyForterro.ai has been designed so that customers retain control over their information and so that AI services operate within clearly defined security, access and governance boundaries.
Customers often ask whether AI models learn from their data.
Answer
The answer is no.
Under Forterro's professional agreements with AI providers, customer inputs and outputs are not used to train the underlying AI models.
In addition:
- Access to information remains governed by existing user permissions
- Data is not retained by AI providers unless Forterro explicitly requests it
- Models running on AWS Bedrock operate within AWS regions selected by Forterro
- For OpenAI-hosted models, geographic data-residency guarantees are expected to apply during 2026
Before activation, Forterro will explain the data processing and security arrangements relevant to your deployment so you can make an informed decision.
9. Which AI models can I use and can I bring my own or self-host?
MyForterro.ai supports a curated selection of leading AI models, allowing customers to benefit from advances in AI without needing to manage the underlying technology themselves.
Today, supported models include selected Claude models running through AWS Bedrock and GPT models running through the OpenAI platform.
Rather than being tied to a single AI model, customers benefit from a managed platform approach that allows Forterro to evaluate, support and extend available models over time while maintaining security, governance and supportability.
At present:
- Customers can choose from the supported model options available through MyForterro.ai
- The list of supported models may evolve as AI technology develops
- Models run on managed cloud platforms
- Customer self-hosting of models is not currently part of the offering
Governance requirements
If specific deployment, governance or model requirements are important for your organisation, your Forterro contact can discuss the available options with you.
10. How do the commercial and contractual arrangements work?
The By Invitation Programme is designed to help customers evaluate MyForterro.ai in their own environment, understand the value it can deliver, and decide whether it is right for their organisation.
It is also designed to allow Forterro and participating customers to validate business value, adoption approaches, delivery models and long-term operating models in a controlled environment before broader availability.
Before the trial concludes, your Forterro contact will review the experience with you, discuss the outcomes achieved, and explain the options available for continued use.
If you wish to continue using MyForterro.ai after the trial, a commercial agreement will be required. The applicable commercial and contractual arrangements will be explained before any commitment is requested.
Our approach is to ensure that customers:
- Can evaluate capabilities before making a longer-term decision
- Understand the value delivered during the programme
- Have visibility of the available commercial options before deciding how to proceed
Decision point
The trial is intended to help you make an informed decision. Continuing beyond the trial is optional and subject to a separate commercial agreement.
