Ketten Wälder GmbH
Staying current for international manufacturing growth
Ketten Wälder moves Abas ERP into Forterro Cloud to support international access, simplify integration and create a foundation for continuous digital development.
Building a modern foundation for international operations
Ketten Wälder manufactures stainless-steel round-link chains industrial markets and services customers internationally. As the business expanded, international sales activity, travelling employees and connected systems increased the need for reliable access, while an ageing ERP environment risked falling behind the company's technology ambitions.
Moving Abas ERP into the Forterro Cloud
When the opportunity arise to join a cloud pilot, Ketten Wälder chose to move Abas ERP into the Forterro Cloud. The company wanted to stay close to current technology, improve access and support future digital initiatives while making upgrades, patches and future adaptations easier to manage.
“We can access the system more easily from anywhere. That was a major point for us.”

A stronger platform for
continued modernisation
Today, Ketten Wälder now operates on a more current, stable and accessible ERP foundation. Access is easier for remote or on-location employees and teams, while the business is better positioned for future integrations, planned UK and US clients, automation initiatives and AI-supported dashboards.
