JEEVES LAUNCHES JEEVES ERP VERSION 5
Release Delivers Tools for Today, Technology for Tomorrow
STOCKHOLM, October 20, 2016—Jeeves Information Systems AB (Jeeves), a Swedish provider of cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and services for midmarket companies, today announced the general availability of Jeeves ERP Version 5 (v5). The product launch kicked off in front of hundreds of customers at the general session of the company’s premier user conference, Xperience.
General Manager Christina Skogster Stange, who joined Jeeves in May, said that the new release has helped to drive record attendance at the event. “I have been inspired by what’s inside v5, as well as all the work that gone into making it,” she said. “It is an exciting time to be a part of the Jeeves community.”
Tools for Today
Version 5 ships with more than one hundred customer-requested enhancements and new features, as well as a brand new desktop client that has been completely reengineered to deliver a more intuitive and streamlined user experience.
Some of the other v5 highlights include:
- A new product configurator for multi-variant, order-unique products.
- Improvements to the intercompany transactions toolset.
- A stronger set of tools for aftermarket service, including a brand new mobile field service app.
- Better support for different production approaches, including projects and shot management.
- Financial management enhancements, including improvements to VAT coding and reporting, as well as advanced payment services in the SEPA area.
- Updated integrations and features across a number of optional products, including warehouse management, electronic invoicing and approvals, and the online sales portal.
- Improved reporting services, as well as a broadened set of financial reports.
Technology for Tomorrow
Version 5 also presents a visionary technology roadmap to Jeeves ERP customers. Supported by the cloud capabilities of Version 4, the v5 release presents a dual (mobile and desktop) client strategy that will allow the Jeeves ERP system to change in real time, based on the user, what the user is doing, and the size of the user’s screen.
The new mobile client, now available in the Apple App Store, allows Jeeves customers to quickly and cost effectively build any ERP app they can imagine. The company has also started a roadmap for the development of standard native mobile ERP apps. As part of the launch, the company’s first native app for field service technicians was released.
“Many would say that cloud and mobility are disruptive technologies that have transformed the way we live and work … with new use cases developing each day,” said Magnus Grönvik, director of product management for Jeeves. “To stay competitive, we must continue to imagine the impact these emerging technologies will have on professional computing and the way we run our businesses. All of us at Jeeves are extremely proud of what we have built into the stack. We have provided our customers with a framework for innovation in the future.”
