Paul Smolinski joined Forterro as CFO in March 2021, appointed to drive forward corporate operations and lead the execution of our growth strategy – particularly focused on our cloud evolution and acquisition activity.
Bio
In a highly accomplished 30-year career, Paul has served as CFO for numerous international PE-backed and UK-listed technology companies. These include CoreHR, Thomson Online Benefits and Compaq Computer. As part of these ventures, Paul has played a key role in secondary buyouts and strategic transactions.
He began his journey as Finance Director at Compaq Computer, where he spent more than a decade serving in key roles in both Munich and Houston. Subsequently, he became CFO of Compaq UK, which produced €3 billion in annual revenue. And he has directed 100% SaaS transformations at two companies. He also holds deep M&A experience, managing the take-private of a $340-million German company and several acquisitions for a UK plc.
Paul has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of York, qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Ernst & Young and is a Chartered Director.
